Kirsten Block

Currently Post-Doctoral Fellow at The Johns Hopkins University

Kirsten graduated from Knox College (Galesburg, IL) in 2004 with a B.A. in Biochemistry and Honors in Developmental Biology. Her undergraduate research focused on exploring the expression pattern of two isoforms of intersectin-1 in Xenopus laevis development. As a member of the Breaker lab, Kirsten’s interests are in the characterization of orphan riboswitch candidates and other complex noncoding RNAs in bacteria.
